Travel Makeup!

Welcome in Everyone!

For todays Makeup Monday blog I wanted to share the makeup I was primarily using while traveling! Because it was basically driving 8+ hours a day, I tried to keep the makeup light, easy and quick. We didn't have a ton of time in the morning to get ready and with us driving I didn't see the point in using a ton of makeup products.

I don't really use a lot of primers anymore so for a "primer" I'm using quotes cause it's not necessarily a primer more like a moisturizer in my opinion. I used the Milk Makeup Toning Cream. I don't think they make this anymore I can't find a link to it. But it's pretty good nothing revolutionary. It's advertised on the bottle that it's hydrating and color correcting, which I do think it does both those things. A little bit goes a long way. I'm mostly trying to use this up because I've had it for a long time, but I do like this stuff. If you can find it I suggest trying to get it on clearance. I wouldn't spend the full amount on it because it's a little bit on the pricey side.

For foundation because I self tanned before we left on this trip I had to actually go purchase a darker foundation. I used up the last Wet N Wild foundation I had and repurchased this foundation in a darker shade. I'm usually in the shade either soft ivory or shell ivory both work good for me. When I'm self tanned though, I purchased the shade buff bisque, which ended up being a perfect shade match. But, my point is that this foundation is that good where I repurchased it!

The concealer I used on this trip is the ELF Hydrating Camo Concealer in Fair Warm. I really like both the ELF Camo Concealers! I really can't justify buying any other concealer now, because these are that good and that affordable!

The setting powder I traveled with is the No7 Lift & Luminate Triple Action Translucent Finishing Powder in the shade Light. This powder is a recommendation from Jessica Braun on YouTube she swears by this stuff. It really is so good it sets everything so well in my opinion and there is a little bit of glow to it. It's a very soft glow that's just perfection.

I actually didn't really use any bronzer or contour on this trip. I think I may have used the CYO Contour Stick once. Which... I just went onto the CYO makeup brand website and it looks like they are officially discontinued altogether 😔. So I can't link it. But, if you can find it by some chance it's a really good contour stick the shade is a perfect cool tone color too! I think that's all I used for a contour/bronzer and I think I only used it once on this trip.

For highlighter I used the Wet N Wild Megaglo Makeup Stick in the shade In The Nude Strikes. It's a cream highlighting stick that's super creamy! Has the perfect amount of glow to it soft and beautiful! I've used powdered highlighters before and they always seem to look a little thick and chalky on my skin. The cream products are looking so much better on me especially the highlighters.

For eyeshadow primer I used the Milani Eyeshadow Primer I mean in all honesty I've used a few different kinds of eyeshadow primers and I really think this stuff is the best out there. I've showered with eyeshadow on and this Milani primer is so good I have to use Albolene after I'm done showering to get all of the eyeshadow off!

The only eyeshadow palette I used was the Colourpop Going Coconuts palette (of course)! Most of the time I was using one shimmery shade all over the lid or one matte shade in the crease and then a shimmery shade on the center of the lid. That was it! Super quick and easy, I think I vlogged about how much I love this palette and every time I use it I'm so happy with the look!

For mascara I used the Loreal Lash Paradise in Blackest Black  I get the one that's not waterproof because I think water proof mascaras damage my eyelashes. This is just the perfect mascara everything I want fluttery, dark, holds a curl for the most part this mascara does all of that. I used up the Essence mascara, so this Loreal one is brand new just opened it up on this trip.

I used a few different lipsticks but the one I wore the most was this Milani Amore Satin Matte Lip Creme in Lavish. It's a really comfortable everyday nude lipstick. It lasts for most of the day, the last couple hours of driving I ended up layering on top of it the Revlon Super Lustrous Glass Shine Lipstick I think I used the shade Toasting Glass. But that lip combo was so good and lasted for a really long time the Revlon just brought the whole lipstick look back to life at the end of the day.

Lastly, I don't really use makeup setting sprays anymore I just don't think I notice a difference with longevity with the makeup. I pretty much just used this makeup spray for the smell and the cooling effect 😂. Especially since we were traveling south the closer we were getting to Texas the hotter it was getting. So the cooling effect of the spray in the morning felt really good! I used the Wet N Wild Photo Focus Primer Water in the Rose scent. Like I said it just smells really good to me and felt good in the morning very cooling!

That's really all I used for traveling this past week! I wore these products almost everyday really quick and easy makeup in the morning. I loved how light feeling the makeup was it didn't feel cakey at all while traveling and lasted the whole day until we got to the hotels! Let me know below what makeup you all love traveling with! ❤️

Thanks for reading!
